DRC has worked on major construction industry cases that often present hybrid issues of contract/lease interpretation and technical evaluation of a building’s damage or fitness for intended use. DRC digitally reconstructs premises to transport jurors to the location, so they can “observe” the issues giving rise to the dispute. DRC’s computer-animated 3D models create virtual site visits that make these cases come alive for jurors while emphasizing the key points that are critical for DRC’s client.

Recently, DRC created demonstrative aids for a local landowner who sued a massive national retailer in a dispute over whether a newly constructed store was sinking and created a hazardous condition that served as a constructive eviction from the site. On the eve of summations, the national retailer agreed to pay DRC’s client a settlement in the tens of millions of dollars. After the jury was discharged, DRC learned that the jurors were prepared to award the full damages ask.
