Josh Dubin is the president of Dubin Research and Consulting, Inc. (DRC), a Manhattan-based consulting firm that specializes in jury selection, persuasive visual aids, and trial strategy for complex civil and criminal matters. Josh is regarded as perhaps the most preeminent trial strategy and jury consultant in the nation, having earned high praise from some of the most accomplished members of both the civil and criminal bars. An attorney and member of the Florida Bar, Josh regularly works with some of the most successful attorneys and law firms in the country, including Quinn Emanuel, Paul Weiss, Holland & Knight, Gibson Dunn & Crutcher, Roy Black, David Markus, Barry Scheck and Jerry Lefcourt. His background as an experienced trial attorney with an apprenticeship in applied social psychology (concentration in jury selection and group decision-making dynamics) has served as the foundation for the paradigm at DRC – providing sophisticated, out-of-the-box analytical advice, integrating the most innovative legal and social psychology strategies, within the specific context of jury trials, bench trials, and alternative dispute resolution.
Over the past 25 years, Josh has assisted with jury selection, witness preparation, and trial strategy on a wide range of high-profile criminal and criminal cases all over the country.
ABC’s 20/20 regarded Josh as the “leading jury and legal consultant on major criminal and civil cases. He has written thousands of voir dire questions, watched hundreds of jury members file into courtrooms around the country, and is often sought by top-tier defense attorneys and plaintiffs’ attorneys for his advice on jury selection, trial strategy and presenting the facts.”
He recently co-authored a book entitled The Law of Juries for Thomson Reuters, who referred to him as a “master strategist” and “secret weapon.” His co-author, former United States Federal Judge Nancy Gertner, praised him by saying “he completely masters the details of the case, and brings to bear not only legal analysis, but also the teachings of social psychology, his multiple areas of expertise.”
Josh is also the Executive Director of the Perlmutter Center for Legal Justice at Cardozo Law, which works to free the wrong incarcerated, and individuals serving unjust sentences. The Perlmutter Center for Legal Justice is comprised of two components. The first is a student field clinic called The Perlmutter Freedom Clinic at Cardozo Law, which focuses on fighting wrongful convictions based on the misuse of scientific evidence and works to obtain clemency for individuals unjustly incarcerated. The second is The Perlmutter Forensic Science Education Program, features an ambitious legal education program in scientific evidence designed for practicing attorneys. The Perlmutter Center for Legal Justice builds on the decades-long success of Cardozo’s Forensic Science College. The Perlmutter Clemency Clinic will be launching in the Spring of 2024.
Renato Stabile is an attorney and Managing Director at DRC. Prior to joining the firm, Renato worked for 17 years at Gerald B. Lefcourt, P.C., a four-person litigation firm, headed by Gerald B. Lefcourt, Esq., one of the preeminent trial attorneys in the United States. Notable and high-profile representations prior to joining DRC included: United States v. Irving Lorenzo, et al. (EDNY) (the “Murder, Inc. case”); People v. Kerry Kennedy, (S.Ct. Westchester County); Home Depot v. G&S (EDNY); Best Cellars v. GrapeFinds of Dupont, Inc. (SDNY); and United States v. Jenny Hou, et al., (SDNY) (campaign treasurer to former NYC Comptroller John Liu). Renato has also successfully authored briefs and argued appeals in both federal and state court.
At DRC, Renato oversees a team of lawyers, analysts, and graphic designers to construct focus group presentations that effectively test clients’ trial themes, demonstrative concepts, and key evidence, against what they are likely to face from the other side at trial. An experienced advocate, Renato presents cases to mock juries, under DRC’s “single-presenter” model and facilitates post-deliberation discussion among mock jurors. Renato guides DRC’s analysis of focus group deliberations and develops evidence-based recommendations and demonstrative aids to overcome observed trouble areas. Before and during trial, Renato often works on-site with clients, preparing key witnesses, refining trial themes and demonstratives, and drafting closing arguments.
A native New Yorker, Renato is a 1993 graduate of the State University of New York at Binghamton (B.S. Biology) and the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law (J.D. 1997). He is admitted to practice law in New York, Connecticut, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States. Renato is a member of the SDNY’s Criminal Justice Act panel.
David Solomon serves as the Chief Revenue Officer at DRC. He brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles, most recently as the Global Head of GLG’s Law business. In this capacity, he implemented transformative strategies in expert witness services that significantly enhanced client engagement and dramatically expanded the firm’s market presence.
Before his tenure at GLG, David was a Director at Axiom Global, Inc., a recognized leader in the business of law, where he oversaw sales and delivery for the company’s largest practice area. His career began as a commercial litigator at Anderson Kill P.C., where he played a key role in some of the most notable commercial cases in U.S. history. Throughout his legal career, he authored impactful briefs and successfully argued cases at both the trial and appellate levels.
At DRC, David leverages his extensive background to shape revenue strategies and enhance client relations. He collaborates closely with DRC’s talented team of professionals to identify growth opportunities and refine service offerings, ensuring that clients receive customized solutions that address their specific needs.
David holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from Emory University and earned his Juris Doctor from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2001. He has been admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey, as well as in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the District of New Jersey.
Brandon is the Vice President of Finance and Operations at DRC. He leads the firm’s Finance, Human Resources, and IT operations.
Prior to joining DRC, Brandon spent several years as a finance leader in the legal consulting space. He brings corporate finance and accounting experience from a range of different industries including hospitality, gaming, and wellness, having worked for both large public companies and smaller venture capital backed startups. He holds a master’s degree in forensic accounting from Florida Atlantic University as well as a B.S. in accounting from Wayne State University.
Dr. Bill Wenzel is a Director of Jury Research at DRC. Dr. Wenzel previously worked at Empirical Creative, where he moderated more than 70 mock trial deliberations and delivered customized data-driven strategies to help litigators maximize the effectiveness of their case narratives. Dr. Wenzel has also developed proprietary computer software for jury profile analysis to help select the most favorable juries at trial.
Dr. Wenzel’s academic credentials include a Ph.D. in experimental cognitive psychology from Stony Brook and a B.A. in economics and math from Johns Hopkins. His dissertation focused on narrative persuasion tactics. Dr. Wenzel previously served as a research analyst for the U.S. Department of Defense, where he ran experiments using various data-collection and analytical tactics that generated actionable narrative persuasion content and strategies.
Faye Honig is a Director of Jury Research at DRC. Faye performs qualitative and quantitative data analyses, assists in the preparation and facilitation of focus groups, develops juror questionnaires, and manages with various aspects of jury selection. Faye also serves as the President for the American Society of Trial Consultants (ASTC). Faye has a B.A. in Psychology & Law and Society from American University and an M.A. in Forensic Psychology from George Washington University, where she specialized in cognitive biases and their impact on jury trials.
Darren joined DRC after working as a litigation associate at two large international law firms for more than seven years. He has represented domestic and international companies in state and federal court in connection with shareholder class actions, and complex disputes involving securities fraud, breach of contract and common law tort claims. He has also represented clients in insurance, employment, and bankruptcy matters. Darren received multiple awards from the Legal Aid Society in connection with his pro bono representation of a class of delivery workers in a wage and hour litigation brought against a national pizza chain and its franchisees. Darren received his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law. Before law school, Darren worked in television production for several large television networks.
Before joining DRC, Bruce worked as a litigator for a major international law firm and clerked for a United States District Judge in Brooklyn. His trial experience includes the civil rights class action Floyd v. City of New York (S.D.N.Y. 2013) (the “stop-and-frisk” case), in which his direct and cross examinations were pivotal to the landmark result, and SCS v. Commerzbank (S.D.N.Y. 2017), in which his team successfully defended a global bank against claims of breach of contract and theft of trade secrets. He also has significant experience handling investigations conducted by various government agencies, including DOJ, SEC, CFTC, U.S. Attorney’s Offices, and the New York Fed, among others. Bruce received his J.D. from George Washington University (2010), where he graduated with High Honors and was a member of the Law Review.
Before joining DRC, Greg worked as a litigator an international law firm for ten years. He has represented domestic and multinational clients in a wide range of complex disputes, with a particular emphasis on intellectual property and technology litigation. Greg has represented clients in state and federal courts around the country, as well as before various government agencies, including the ITC, FCC, FDA, and USPTO. His practice has encompassed all aspects of case preparation and management, including pre-suit investigations, fact and expert discovery, trial preparation, and trial. Greg also served as the General Counsel of a legal aid organization, where he worked to provide services related to immigration, housing, and labor. He received his J.D. from Harvard Law School.
Becca joined DRC after working in the disputes group of an international law firm, where she had a broad practice in international arbitration, litigation, and investigations. She has represented individuals and corporations in the oil and gas, aerospace, telecommunications, finance, life sciences, and entertainment industries. She also has extensive experience in expert work and has managed testifying and consulting experts in addressing a variety of issues, including damages, valuation, accounting, and class certification.
Becca received her J.D. from New York University (2014) and her B.S. from Rutgers University (2010), where she double-majored in Finance and Economics.
Before joining DRC, Mark worked as a litigator for over five years in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis. While there, he represented clients across an array of industries, including private equity firms, social media companies, biopharma corporations, life sciences companies, and consumer goods providers. Mark has practiced both in federal and various state courts, including in the areas of M&A and capital markets litigation, securities, and shareholder litigation, and claims for breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, and tortious interference. He also has significant experience handling investigations conducted by various government and non-government agencies, including DOJ, CFTC, U.S. Attorneys Offices, and FINRA, among others. Mark has received awards and been recognized for his robust pro bono practice, which has included representing a death row inmate seeking post-conviction relief, assisting individuals in obtaining asylum and other immigration status-related relief, and arguing a direct criminal appeal before the New York Appellate Division. Mark received his J.D. from New York University School of Law and his B.A. (History and Political Science) from the University of Michigan.
Deicy Cordero-Andrade is the Creative Director at DRC. She is a multidisciplinary designer with experience in 3D rendering and animation, digital illustration, and presentation design. She was born and raised in New York City, and received her B-Tech in Design and Visual Communications from New York City College of Technology. Prior to DRC, she worked in the legal field as both a Personal Injury Paralegal and Data Entry Manager and as a freelance pitch presentation designer for a Public Relations firm.
Alison Hussey is an Associate Creative Director at DRC. Her specialty is illustration, both traditional and digital. She was born and raised in Central Florida and moved to New York in 2014. Before joining DRC, Alison worked as a Graphic Designer for Ralph Lauren. Alison received her B.F.A. in Illustration from Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, FL, and worked with several art supply stores as an advisor for different mediums.
Sami Kullab, our Associate Creative Director here at DRC, is a multidisciplinary creative with over 15 years of experience in leading and delivering strategic and impactful design and brand experiences. He has worked with both local businesses and Fortune 100 and 500 companies alike. He leads with adaptability and a collaborative team effort. Augusta Stanziani, our Associate Director of Human Resources leads DRC’s recruitment, talent management, and organizational efforts.
Augusta brings a rich blend of expertise in Global HR Operations. Throughout Augusta’s professional journey, she partnered with many start-up companies across various sectors including Technology, Retail, and E-Commerce where she played a pivotal role in optimizing human capital strategies to drive company growth. Her approach to HR is both people-centric and results driven and is committed to fostering talent, building strong and diverse teams, and enhancing both the performance of organization and employee satisfaction. She holds a M.S in Human Resources from Stony Brook University.
Dor Gutterman, originally from Tel Aviv, is an Associate Director of Finance at DRC. His specialties include performing quantitative research, accounting, and invoicing. Dor received his B.A. in Economics from New York University.
Michael joined DRC after working as a litigation associate at a large international law firm and a premier litigation boutique. He has represented clients in state and federal court in connection with complex disputes involving securities fraud, antitrust, intellectual property, insurance, breach of contract and common law tort claims. He also has significant experience overseeing internal investigations on behalf of corporate clients in connection with regulatory enforcement actions.
Michael received his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School, where he was a member of the Law Review.
Before joining DRC, Gabriel worked as a litigation associate at an international law firm, a small commercial practice, and as a senior associate in the commercial, criminal, and regulatory practices of a boutique litigation firm where he focused on investigations and witness counseling. He has represented individuals in senior investment management and executive roles in government investigations and civil enforcement actions, as well as disputes involving embezzlement, securities fraud, breach of contract, and breach of fiduciary duty. Gabriel received his J.D. from Stanford Law School and his B.A. in Politics from New York University.
Ben joined DRC after working as a litigation associate at a large international law firm for over five years. He has represented individuals and companies in state and federal commercial litigation, as well as in financial and environmental regulatory investigations, bankruptcy, and intellectual property matters. His previous pro bono work focused on using litigation to increase government transparency and accountability. Ben received his J.D. from Columbia Law School and has a Masters in Economic History from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Claudia joined DRC after working in the New York office of a boutique litigation firm, where she handled complex commercial litigation matters. Prior to that, she was an associate at a premier boutique environmental law firm in PA, where she represented a wide range of clients, from municipal authorities to major chemical manufacturing companies, on both regulatory and litigation matters. Claudia also completed a judicial clerkship in the Superior Court of the Virgin Islands, St. Croix.
Claudia received her J.D. from Vermont Law School. She was awarded the John Delemarre award for her outstanding work in securing a 20-year net metering agreement with a 500 KW solar array project, which provides 50% of the school’s energy needs. She received her. B.S. from Villanova University, where she majored in Environmental Science and was a member of the International Geographical Honor Society.
Cara joined DRC from a premier class action securities firm, where she served as Of Counsel. Before that, she spent over eight years working for large international law firms. Cara has spoken and written extensively about the civil insider trading statute. She has seen litigation from the start of the proceedings through trial and has represented parties in some of the highest-profile securities class actions in the last decade. She has a broad range of litigation experience, working in both state and federal courts and on everything from complex corporate dissolutions to personal estate disputes.
Cara was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2017-2024 in Securities Litigation and Business Litigation. In 2019, Cara received the Sanctuary for Families Above & Beyond Pro Bono Achievement Award. She is very active in the community, serving as Community Volunteer Chair of the New York Wellesley Club, as a member of Anti-Defamation League’s NextGeneration Advisory Board, and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Al D. Rodriguez Liver Foundation.
Cara received her J.D. from Cardozo School of Law in an accelerated 2 ½ year program, where she participated in Law Review and was named to The Order of the Coif. She received her B.A. from Wellesley College.
Danielle joined DRC after working in the New York office of Paul Weiss, where she had a broad practice in civil and criminal litigation, bankruptcy, and investigations. She has represented individuals and corporations in the insurance, education, oil, healthcare, and entertainment industries. Danielle has experience managing expert and fact witnesses, including preparing witnesses for Congressional testimony. While at Paul Weiss, she maintained a robust pro bono practice, which included representing a wrongfully convicted individual and amici curiae before the Supreme Court.
Danielle received her J.D. from Howard University School of Law. She received her B.A. from Oakwood University, majoring in Communications with a concentration in Broadcast Journalism.
Before joining DRC, Matt worked as a litigator for over ten years at two major international law firms and a securities litigation boutique. Matt represented notable financial institutions, investors, and corporate directors as both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide range of complex disputes, with a particular emphasis on the financial and securities industries. His practice encompassed all aspects of case management, from inception through trial, in both state and federal courts and several arbitration fora. Matt's trial experience includes acting as lead counsel on several cases successfully tried to verdict or award in the Delaware Court of Chancery and before FINRA arbitration panels.
Matt received his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and his B.A. in Government from Cornell University.
Before joining DRC, C. Nathaniel Myers worked as a litigator in a large premier litigation firm. His practice focused on complex commercial litigation, white-collar defense, antitrust, and securities litigation. He has represented public and private companies in matters involving breach of contract, fraud, business torts, and commercial real estate disputes. He has played active roles in complex securities litigations on the plaintiff’s and defense’s sides, including SEC and DOJ investigations. Nathaniel has also worked with in-house counsel to develop legal strategies for crisis management, improve compliance efforts, and direct internal investigations. As a former securities associate, he has counseled public companies in preparing SEC filings, participated in numerous registered offerings, and advised on various corporate governance matters.
Nathaniel received his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, where he was a member of the Law Review, the Moot Court Honor Society, and the Alternative Dispute Resolution Honor Society. Nathaniel also has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology.
Prior to joining DRC as a Litigation Strategist, Anna held a variety of internships during Law School, including those at the Legal Aid Society’s Law Reform and Special Litigation Unit and at Fordham Law’s Criminal Defense and Federal Litigation Clinics. Additionally, Anna worked at DRC during her final two years of Law School. Since starting as a Litigation Strategist, Anna has worked on matters dealing with a variety of claims, including defamation, complex litigation, commercial litigation, copyright infringement, securities fraud, antitrust, and more. Anna's responsibilities include handling case intake, conducting legal research, drafting presentations, analyzing jury and focus group research, and implementing that analysis into trial strategy recommendations. Anna received her B.A. in English and Political Science from the University of Southern California and graduated from Fordham University School of Law in 2022.
Daniel joined DRC after working as a litigator for over ten years, most recently at a boutique firm focusing on securities class actions. Daniel has a broad range of experience representing clients in both federal and state court on everything from environmental torts to product liability.
Daniel received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where he was a senior staff member of the journal The Tax Lawyer. He received his B.A. from Syracuse University, majoring in Political Philosophy.
Before joining DRC, Kyle worked as a litigation associate in New York for over six years. He has represented notable financial institutions, investors, and corporate directors in connection with Securities Class Actions, White Collar matters, and Complex Commercial cases. He has also assisted clients with navigating government investigations.
Kyle has litigated matters in both state and federal courts and has first chair trial experience in the New York Civil Court. He also has extensive experience handling matters in the Small Claims Courts for corporate clients.Kyle received his B.A. from the University of Chicago, double majoring in Political Science and Public Policy. Kyle received his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School.
Yena worked as a litigator at an international law firm prior to joining DRC. Her practice involved white collar defense and internal investigations as well as complex commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes and domestic and international arbitrations. Yena’s experience includes conducting investigations, coordinating different phases of discovery, drafting pleadings and other briefs, and preparing witnesses for evidentiary hearings. She has represented both individual and institutional clients based in the United States and other countries.
Yena also maintained a diverse pro bono practice with a focus on criminal and immigration matters. She successfully represented numerous clients seeking compassionate release, release from arbitrary detention, asylum, and reunification with family members. She also represented clients in class actions seeking prison reform and improved conditions in public housing.
Yena received her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law. While at Fordham, Yena was an articles and notes editor of the Fordham Law Review and she participated in the Criminal Defense Clinic. She also competed in mock trials as a member of the Brendan Moore Trial Advocacy Program. Yena holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.
Before joining DRC, Matt worked as a litigation associate in New York for a premier antitrust boutique firm and a large national law firm. Matt’s practice focused on antitrust law and complex commercial matters. He has represented notable companies in the fields of technology, food and beverage, healthcare, and finance. He has also assisted clients with navigating government investigations before the Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission. He also has significant experience overseeing internal investigations on behalf of corporate clients in connection with regulatory enforcement actions. Matt kept a robust pro bono practice, focusing on immigration rights and asylum matters.
Matt has litigated matters in state and federal courts across the country. He received his B.A. from Temple University, double majoring in Political Science and economics, and his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law. Outside of work, Matt also serves on the Hoboken Planning Board and the Governor’s Council of Volunteerism and Community Service.
Sheryn joined DRC with over fourteen years of experience as a federal appellate clerk, litigator at a large international law firm, and in-house counsel at a major pharmaceutical company. She has represented clients in state and federal courts, focusing on complex antitrust and intellectual property litigation. She has significant experience in class action litigation.
Sheryn received her J.D. with highest honors from the University of Notre Dame Law School and her B.A. from The George Washington University.
Alex joined DRC after working as a litigator for multiple international law firms and clerking for a federal judge in the Southern District of New York. He has represented both domestic and international clients in a wide range of criminal and complex commercial disputes, with an emphasis on white collar defense, internal investigations, securities litigation, and business disputes. Alex has represented clients in state and federal courts around the county as well as before governmental entities including the DOJ and SEC.
Alex received his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law where he was an editor at the Fordham Law Review. He received his B.A. from Tufts University where he double-majored in International Relations and Economics. He is admitted to practice law in both New York and Hawaii.
Steven joins DRC after working as a litigator with several large international law firms. Steven's cases have involved antitrust, securities fraud, corporate governance, contract disputes, and other complex business-related matters. Steven has litigated in federal and state court and before the Securities and Exchange Commission. In addition, Steven has written educational material for law students regarding a wide array of subjects, including securities regulation, banking, cryptocurrency, and sports law. Most recently, Steven has been working with a leading AI lab to help improve the lab's legal-research AI product. Steven also serves on the board of directors of a local animal-rescue organization.
Steven received his J.D. with High Honors from the George Washington University Law School, where he served as an article’s editor for the George Washington Law Review. Steven also earned an M.B.A. from the University of Miami and a B.A in political science, cum laude, from Brandeis University.
John joined DRC after working in the New York office of an international law firm, where he built a broad litigation practice. John gained experience representing a diverse range of clients in general commercial litigation matters, individuals and financial institutions in investigations by the DOJ and FINRA, and creditors in financial restructuring and bankruptcy matters.
John received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and B.A. from Boston College, where he was a History major.
Ashley joins DRC after working as a litigator with two large international law firms. Ashley has represented manufacturers of pharmaceutical and consumer products in their product liability and mass tort litigation in state and federal courts, including multidistrict litigation and class actions.
Ashley received her J.D., magna cum laude, from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, where she served as the Senior Notes Editor for the Hofstra Law Review. Ashley earned her B.A. in English, cum laude, from the University at Albany.
Nicole joined DRC with over fifteen years of experience as a litigator after working at two New York boutique law firms and a large international firm. She has represented both domestic and international clients in a wide range of complex commercial disputes involving securities, bankruptcy, intellectual property, insurance, and breach of contract claims. She has conducted internal investigations related to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, insider trading, mortgage fraud, and accounting fraud.
Nicole received her J.D. with honors from Fordham University School of Law. She holds a B.F.A. from New York University where she majored in Film and Television Production.
Before joining DRC, Jenna spent her career in private practice as a litigator focusing on product liability and mass tort litigation at multiple international law firms. Jenna has extensive experience in all phases of litigation, from inception through trial and settlement. She has particular expertise in handling complex scientific issues that arise in litigation and working with expert witnesses. Jenna has represented many institutional clients, including pharmaceutical companies, manufacturers of consumer products, social media platforms, and financial institutions, in high-profile state and federal cases across the country.
Jenna dedicated a significant portion of her time in private practice to pro bono work. Jenna partnered with the Center for Reproductive Rights to challenge abortion restrictions in the state of Oklahoma pre- and post-Dobbs. At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, she partnered with the American Civil Liberties Union to bring a class action lawsuit on behalf of incarcerated people to ensure that the state of Connecticut provided them with adequate precautions against the spread of the virus within federal prisons. Jenna's local pro bono practice has included representing families seeking damages from the City after a 2019 sewage flood in South Ozone Park in Queens.
Jenna received her law degree from Fordham University School of Law in 2011. While at Fordham, Jenna was the Writing and Research Editor of the Fordham Law Review and a moot court competitor, winning the award for Best Brief in the University of San Diego National Criminal Procedure Tournament in 2009. Jenna holds an A.B. in International Relations from the Brown University.
Dr. Zared Shawver is a Data Scientist at DRC. Zared previously worked at Empirical Creative, where he delivered quantitative analyses that litigators used to understand how potential jurors think about cases and moderated mock trial deliberations. Zared has also developed proprietary computer software to create mathematical models used to make predictions about potential jurors’ decisions that can help select the most favorable juries at trial.
Zared’s academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Cognitive Science with an advanced certificate in Quantitative Methods and Analysis at Stony Brook University, where his research focused on how people think about, are persuaded by, and experience emotions from narratives. He has also earned his M.S. in Psychological Science and B.A. in Psychology from Shippensburg University, where he conducted academic research on jury decision-making and studied legal psychology.
Courtney McGinness is a Senior Research Analyst at DRC. Courtney assists with various aspects of jury selection, conducts qualitative and quantitative data analyses for civil and criminal cases, and helps manage the preparation and facilitation of focus groups. Before joining the firm, Courtney received her M.A. in Forensic Psychology from George Washington University, her J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law, and her B.A. in Psychology and Sociology from Wake Forest University.
While working on her M.A. at GWU, Courtney worked as a Social Science Research Intern at the International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children. She helped create a survey to establish country definitions of what constitutes a missing child, how each country categorizes a missing child, and whether a risk assessment is conducted in the missing child investigation, along with a return interview. Courtney also assisted with the global number of missing children project, which aimed to collect data necessary to develop a more reliable and defensible annual estimate of the number of missing children worldwide.
Kelly Deegan is a Senior Research Analyst at DRC. Kelly performs fact research and memo drafting, media analysis, identifying trends, and assists in drafting questionnaires and focus group feedback questions. Before joining DRC, Kelly received her B.A. in Psychology from Loyola University Maryland. She conducted a study concerning the alcohol consumption habits of students with fake identification and the sleep habits of juvenile detainees. Kelly is a Master of Experimental Psychology Candidate at Towson University, where she is researching how monitoring performance impacts forensic scientists and their job performances. Professionally, Kelly has worked with interviewing forensic psychiatric patients, as a teaching assistant, and as a research assistant.
Nina Alameno is a Senior Research Analyst at DRC. She earned her B.A. in Political Science at Lehigh University and dual minored in Entrepreneurship and Mass Communication. While at Lehigh, Nina worked as a Democracy Fellow for Campus Vote Project under the Fair Elections Center. She also co-founded and led a student-run organization under the Office of Multicultural Affairs at Lehigh, which educates and administers peer-to-peer facilitation with students to spread awareness about racial diversity and inclusion. Nina graduated as a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
Kristin Veltry is a Research Analyst at DRC. Kristin assists with various aspects of jury selection, drafting questionnaires, fact research, qualitative and quantitative analyses, and helps manage the preparation and facilitation of focus groups. Before joining DRC, Kristin received her B.A. in Marketing and Finance from Fairfield University. During her time at Fairfield, she was a member of the executive board for Women in Business, an organization dedicated to empowering and connecting women in various industries. Professionally, Kristin has a background in consumer and B2B research, conducting both quantitative and qualitative analyses for clients in a variety of industries.
Julie is a Research Analyst at DRC. She assists with various aspects of jury selection, conducts qualitative and quantitative data analyses, drafts questionnaires, and helps manage the preparation and facilitation of focus groups. Julie’s interests lie at the intersection of psychology, media, and law. She earned a B.A. in Psychology from Cornell University and an M.A. in Learning Technology and Experience Design from New York University, where she researched and designed a digital learning experience to reduce wrongful convictions due to eyewitness misidentifications. Before joining DRC, Julie worked as a media analyst, uncovering content patterns to understand personal tastes in entertainment.
Alex Goldstein is a Research Analyst at DRC. Alex conducts qualitative and quantitative data analyses, programs questionnaires, helps manage the preparation and facilitation of focus groups, and assists with various aspects of jury selection. Alex has an extensive background in, and deep passion for, psychology and law research. Before joining DRC, Alex conducted research in a myriad of areas focused on judgment and decision making, police perceptions of Miranda Rights, wrongful convictions, and recognition memory. Alex received her B.S. in Psychological Science from Kennesaw State University, her M.S. in Criminal Justice from Kennesaw State University, her M.S. in Cognitive Psychology from Iowa State University, and a certificate in Quantitative Psychology from Iowa State University.
Madeleine Beaton is a Project Coordinator at DRC. She helps to plan and facilitate jury research focus groups, monitor progress, and organize project-related information. Before joining DRC, Madeleine received her B.A. in Psychology from the College of the Holy Cross. While pursuing her undergraduate degree, Madeleine interned at Trial Behavior Consulting and worked as an RA within the psychology department, studying the effect of perceptual and dynamical properties on social motor coordination. Most recently, she completed a summer internship with the D.C. Department of Human Services, where she conducted a survey research study for the Short-Term Family Housing Program.
J.P. Bonilla is an Information Design Artist at DRC. J.P. received his B.F.A from the Technical University of Ambato-Ecuador then moved to New York to pursue a visual communication certificate and work as a graphic designer and illustrator. With more than ten years of experience and his philosophy of continuous improvement, J.P. has supported the development of countless products and brand strategies. He has worked in the advertising, publishing and video game industries, and as a conceptual artist, he helps transform ideas into eye-catching digital illustrations.
As a Video Producer at DRC, Matthew Eisenhofer handles the exhibits and documents sent by clients, researches information pertinent to cases, and performs media analyses. Matthew’s analyses and research are used in a wide range of projects at DRC, from focus group analysis to juror research during selection. Matthew has a background in writing, having majored in English at George Washington University, which he applies to his analyses and research, in order to provide a detailed and accessible picture for clients. He has worked on numerous cases, including People v. Pedro Hernandez, John Restivo v. Nassau County, People v. Robert Neulander and United States v. Olivares.
Renzo is an Information Design Artist at DRC. He has extensive experience in the fields of art and design, strategy, and illustration. Renzo has a diverse skill set with a background in infographics, home furnishings and décor, interior design, industrial design, and design research. Renzo's artwork has been exhibited nationally and featured in various publications and academic institutions. Renzo has an MFA in Innovation Design From The School of Visual Arts (SVA) and a B.S. in Design from Parsons School of Design.
Wendy DuBoff is an Information Design Artist at DRC. After receiving her MS in Computer Animation from New York University, she taught 2D and 3D animation at NYU, Cooper Union, and Hunter College. Wendy spent the next few years animating for various TV and film companies around New York City, including four years as a graphic artist at CBS Network News, where she animated on shows including CBS Sunday Morning, The Early Show, the Evening News, and CBSSports.com. Wendy has recently focused on graphic design, including concept design, illustration, and animating visual demonstratives for several legal graphics organizations. As a print and digital designer, Wendy has worked with several national and international non-profits, including the ALS Association of Greater New York City, Farm Sanctuary, RTI, and United Way.
Alison Czinkota is an Information Design Artist at DRC. She has extensive experience in illustration and design for both print and digital products. Before joining DRC, Alison worked on a wide range of projects as a freelance illustrator and as an Illustration Editor for one of America’s largest publication companies. Alison received her B.F.A. in illustration at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York.
Megan Bishop is an Information Design Artist at DRC. She has extensive experience as a graphic designer and a foundational background in scientific illustration. Before her time at DRC, Megan was a freelance illustrator and created designs and images for Living Bird Magazine at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. Megan received a B.S. in Botany from Humboldt State University and a Graduate Certificate degree in Scientific Illustration from CSU Monterey.
Jenny Pan is an Information Design Artist at DRC. She has a background in tech, e-commerce, and education. Jenny has designed all types of assets across multiple channels, including website wireframes, sell sheets, brand books, merchandise, and even Instagram reels. Before DRC, she worked as the sole graphic designer in SaaS and CPG startups. Jenny was born and raised in Texas and holds a B.F.A. in Graphic Design from Baylor University with a minor in Entrepreneurship.
Clay Moreira is an Information Design Artist at DRC. Clay is a passionate and innovative graphic designer with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA). Originally from Brazil Clay combines his artistic background with technical expertise to create pixel-perfect, elegant designs. His work in visual communication and user interface design reflects a deep understanding of both art and technology.
Conrado Herrera joined DRC with over six years of experience in digital marketing, specializing in motion graphics and visual content creation. Conrado has created marketing campaigns and visuals for brands across a wide range of industries, both national and international. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Digital Arts from the University of Guanajuato.
Jessie is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with extensive experience in corporate finance and accounting. She specializes in financial reporting, audits, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Jessie has worked with various companies, refining expertise in managing financial statements, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.

Before joining DRC, Hector accumulated four years of extensive experience as a litigation paralegal in reputable law firms across New York and California, He acquired valuable insights while working on diverse cases, including medical malpractice, trusts & estates, and tax matters, spanning from case inception to trial. Hector's professional journey as a Foreign Tax attorney culminated in the achievement of a Master of Laws (LLM) from Pace University, complemented by successfully passing the New York Bar exam, solidifying eligibility to practice law in the state.
Prior to embarking on a legal career in the United States, he sharpened skills at JPMorgan, immersing in the intricacies of investments, equities, and SEC regulations. Hector also secured FINRA licenses series 6 and 63, enabling navigation of the complexities of financial markets with precision. Furthermore, his experience in patent prosecution with the US Patent and Trademark Office adds a distinctive dimension to legal acumen.
In addition, Hector has shared knowledge and expertise as a professor at the University of Treasury Department in Venezuela, teaching courses on income taxes and intellectual property. Noah Velazquez attended Columbia University, studying political science and sociocultural anthropology. During his time at Columbia, Noah served as a member of the executive board for Pi Sigma Alpha, a national political science honor society. As a Senior Legal Analyst, Noah reviews and drafts documents for DRC. He has fulfilled various editorial roles, including as an editorial intern for Marvel Comics.
Jade Luke currently serves as a Legal Analyst at DRC, having recently attained her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Howard University. Prior to joining DRC full time, Jade was part of the 2023 class of The Shawn Carter Foundation x Josh Dubin Fellowship, showcasing her commitment to advancing justice and dedication to making a positive impact in the legal field.
In her current role, Jade conducts thorough case research, contributes to mock jury preparation, and collaborates with a diverse team of attorneys, social psychologists, and analysts for civil and criminal case readiness. Her commitment to justice and multifaceted skills greatly contribute to the DRC team.
Yesenia has over ten years of executive support and office management experience within different industries. Before joining DRC as Executive Assistant to Josh Dubin, she supported multiple executives at Ross Stores and managed the training department at Safety Dynamics. Yesenia graduated from SUNY Stony Brook with a BA in Linguistics and a double minor in Spanish and French. She has certifications for interpretation and translation in medical and legal settings and has volunteered as a patient interpreter at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai.
Sabrina Occhicone brings a wealth of executive administrative experience to our team, having worked closely with chief-level executives and managing partners in the real estate industry. Originally from Brazil, Sabrina moved to New York to pursue her studies in Business Management.
At DRC, Sabrina joins us as a Legal Administrative Assistant, working directly with our Litigation Directors. With a proven track record of managing complex administrative tasks and supporting multiple agents and brokers simultaneously, Sabrina is well-equipped to handle the dynamic needs of our legal team.
Jaelyn Maddrey is the Marketing Assistant at DRC. She recently earned her Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Marketing from Howard University School of Business. Before joining DRC full-time, Jaelyn was a member of the inaugural class of The Shawn Carter Foundation x Josh Dubin Fellowship in 2022. During her tenure in the fellowship, Jaelyn and her dedicated teammates worked tirelessly to secure the release of Bruce Bryan, an individual wrongfully convicted by the legal system. This unique opportunity allowed her to collaborate with like-minded individuals who shared her unwavering commitment to rectifying the injustices within the legal system.
In her current role, Jaelyn manages social media campaigns, plans events, and generates innovative ideas to promote the DRC brand.
Christine is the Office Manager at Dubin Research & Consulting. Prior to joining the DRC team, she was an Executive Assistant /Paralegal to multiple attorneys in special education law. She has over ten years of executive and administrative support experience within various industries. Christine holds a B.A. in Clinical Psychology from Hunter College.
Andrew Klein has been a Trial Technology Consultant for over 20 years and has worked with attorneys on more than 200 trials, arbitrations, and hearings across the country. Andrew has worked on many high-profile securities, patent, and contract cases, as well as class actions, tort, and more. Some of his recent trials include State of New York et al. v. Deutsche Telekom Ag et al., Robert Kirkman, et al. v. AMC Film Holdings LLC, et al., Melendres v. Arpaio et al. (Sheriff Joe Arpaio Contempt Hearing), and Starr v. United States.
Andrew conducts lectures and training courses on electronic trial presentations and has been a speaker at the Arizona State University College of Law. He has also written articles on electronic trial presentations for several legal publications, including the New Jersey Law Journal.
After attending the University of New Mexico and before entering the litigation support field, Andrew worked as a sound engineer, producer, and writer and has extensive sound editing experience. He has found this expertise has frequently been a useful tool for certain trials.
